It was consecrated \u00a0in 1857 and\u00a0contains many features of the early Decorated style much admired by the Victorian revival. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Many\u00a0local donors contributed to the cost, not least by the generous patronage of the Antrobus family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>A vicarage was built on land adjacent to the church and its churchyard.
