May 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

As there are general and council elections in 2015, both Cllr. Steve\u00a0Waltho and Cllr. Julie Lyne agreed to remain as Chair and Vice Chair\u00a0for another year. This will ensure continuity on the excellent work they\u00a0are both doing on the link road issue.<\/p>\n

Cllr. Tamsin MacCormack has taken over the website and is making\u00a0excellent progress in filling it up with local information. If your group is\u00a0not yet on or you have an event you wish to publicise, please e mail\u00a0Tamsin on Tamsin.MacCormack@gmail.com. The Council website is\u00a0www.eatoncheshire.co.uk<\/p>\n

There is nothing further to report at present on the link road.<\/p>\n

We need one volunteer to join the team of three councillors making\u00a0a monthly safety inspection of the children\u2019s play area in the park.\u00a0There is a check list to go with the post and you pass your completed\u00a0check to a member of the council. Please contact the clerk if you can\u00a0undertake this. Rospa have made their annual safety inspection of the\u00a0park and there are no issues to be raised.<\/p>\n

Cllr. John Coates has been keeping a log of any incidents on the\u00a0A536 Macclesfield Road and this is VERY IMPORTANT for any\u00a0future negotiations with Cheshire East and Highways on possible\u00a0improvements to this road through our village if the link road goes\u00a0ahead. Please contact John with anything you note, however minor, on\u00a0275728. Also, please report to the Clerk any incidents of suspicious\u00a0behaviour or crime in the village for the log which is being maintained.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Clerk is pleased to report that the Council has received an\u00a0entirely clean report on the accounts from the internal auditor for the\u00a0year 2013\/14.<\/p>\n
